GP Near Bondi Junction

Very doable, and pleasant if you have the time. It is about two and a half kilometres straight down Oxford Street from the interchange, roughly thirty five minutes, and you are past the shops most of the way.

If you would rather make an outing of it, the top end of Centennial Park runs alongside Oxford Street for part of the trip, so you can cut through the park and rejoin the street closer to us. Most patients take the bus, and it is the same road either way.

Head west along Oxford Street from the interchange and stay on it the whole way. You pass Paddington Public School and St Matthias church, and we are a little further along by Paddington Town Hall, with Paddington Reservoir Gardens beside us and Underwood Street running behind. Allow extra time between 8:00 and 9:30 on weekdays, when Oxford Street slows heading into the city.

• One bus, no changes. The 333, 352 and 440 all run from the Bondi Junction interchange along Oxford Street. Get off at Paddington Town Hall, Oxford Street, and we are about eighty metres away.
• Check the stand before you board, because they are not interchangeable. On Grafton Street, Stand R takes both the 333 and the 352, and the 440 goes from Stand T. The 333 also picks up at Stand Q on Grafton Street, and on Oxford Street outside Westfield at Stand A. One worth knowing on Oxford Street: the other stand there runs the 333 the other way, towards Bondi Beach, so look for Stand A.
• The 333 is the limited stops service. It does not call at Victoria Barracks. The 352 and 440 do, if that stop suits you better.
• Honestly, the train is not the trip. Bondi Junction has the station and Oxford Street has the bus. There is no station at our end, so the bus gets you closer than the train can.
